Title: An Introduction to Time Series Analysis and Prediction

Abstract:

This talk introduces the theory and method of Time Series analysis,
and applies it to solve the server load prediction problem. High
bandwidth and energy cost has become increasingly important in network
service systems. How to cut down the energy cost and bandwidth budget
is one of the top concerns nowadays. Time Series Analysis can be used
to solve such problem. By modeling and forecasting based on time
series, network traffic bandwidth requirement and server workload can
be predicted so as to provide managers more information for further
actions to save energy cost and bandwidth.
