Analyst Assistant Agent

Title: Analyst Assistant Agent

Sponsor: Lockheed Martin Management & Data Systems

This project will focus on the development of intelligent agents that reason about the goals and needs of a team of counter-terrorism analysts. The effort will involve understanding the role and interaction of multiple analysts/decision-makers in an intelligence community environment (e.g., analysts having different domains of expertise and focus of attention) and developing models to mimic human analysis teams. The effort will leverage on-going research using the CAST agent architecture and its novel approach for representing and reasoning about teamwork knowledge developed by Dr. Yen's research team. The result will be an improved understanding of the dynamics of team-based intelligence analysis and models/tools to assist the analysis and decision-making process.

The principal investigators are Prof. John Yen from the School of Information Sciences and Technology and Dr. Paul Kogut from Lockheed Martin.
